Daywind Music Group/Red Roots Receives Telly Award

Nashville, TN - Daywind Music Group, Red Hen Records and Evidential Productions have been recognized with a 2012 Bronze Telly Award in the category Internet/Online Music Video, by the 33rd Annual Telly Awards Association. The award was presented in recognition for the Red Roots music video, Double Wide Church. This original storyline was written by Rick Schweinsberg (Daywind Music Group) and truly is more a comedy epic-adventure than just a mere music video. Video direction and all editing and pos-tproduction was handled by Billy Brown (Evidential Productions).
The 8:21 minute mini-feature was shot on location just north of Nashville across three days, and included cameos by many of the Red Roots very own fans. Red Roots owes a special thanks to the "Double Wide Church" congregation, which was made up of fans who won a mini-contest after submitting their best "Hillibilly" photo of themselves. The fans traveled far and wide across many states just to be part of this very special event. Two Southern Gospel D.J.'s Cody Duett (WOSM) and Mark Hampton (WCNW) also participated in this production. In addition, Red Roots thanks The Book of Acts Pentecostal Church (Gallatin, Tennessee) for allowing the group to film in their facilities.
The video also features a special appearance by famed character actor Bill "Bobby" Byrge (Ernest Goes to JailErnest Scared Stupid, and others). Devin McGlamery (Ernie Haase & Signature Sound) showed his acting side by playing a surprisingly, scary role of a "Swamp Person." Also, Nashville musicians Anthony Johnson (keyboardist & engineer), Micah Schweinsberg (drummer), and Jeremy Medkiff (guitarist) performed as the "Double Wide Church" band.
The Red Roots are Nika, Nicole, and Natalie Taylor. These three, red-headed, identical triplet sisters are best summed up in the band name Red Roots. They have developed a sweet, pop-country sound while incorporating an inspirational message. Their journey of growth can be heard and seen through their music, but was ultimately shaped by their "roots" of family and faith.
